About this tour
We start in Eindhoven and soon leave the city behind as we follow the beautiful Green Corridor, a peaceful and scenic route leading us towards the charming village of Oirschot. Along the way, you’ll experience the diverse Brabant landscape before we arrive at our first special stops: a local asparagus farm and a strawberry farm. Here, you’ll get a glimpse into rural life and taste some of the region’s freshest local produce.
We then continue our ride across a historic Bailey bridge towards the heart of Oirschot. In this atmospheric village, we explore the old town center, rich in history, characterful buildings, and welcoming squares, a perfect place to soak in the authentic Brabant vibe.
After visiting the center, we cycle through the vast military training area of the Oirschotse Heide. This unique natural landscape is still actively used for military exercises. With a bit of luck, we might even witness the impressive Chinook helicopter in action,a truly unforgettable sight.
Our return route takes us along the Beatrix Canal, a waterway with an important history closely tied to the development of the region. From here, we enjoy a relaxed ride back to Eindhoven, where the tour concludes.
This tour is designed for both longtime Brabanders and newcomers to the region, including expats who want to connect with their new surroundings. It’s a perfect mix of nature, history, local flavors, and shared stories, an experience that brings Brabant to life for everyone.
